A Community of Women for Change
Informing, inspiring, uniting for change.
One hundred women gathered in April 2010, offering their
unique perspectives and insights into the challenges confronting metro-area
women. Small-group discussions identified a broad list of issues that serve as
the starting point for a comprehensive community study. This research project
is currently under way and will evaluate and validate the issues, associated
causes, potential solutions and availability of current services for women in
the Omaha area.
This Community of
Women for Change was conceived by a small group of women representing three
Omaha-area organizations: Women’s Fund of Omaha, YWCAOmaha and College of St.
Mary.
