Ellie is the Executive Director of the Women's Fund of Greater Omaha. She began her career with the Women's Fund in June of 2001. A graduate of the University of Minnesota School of Journalism, Ellie's varied career experience has included advertising copywriter, retail buyer, political campaign manager, management consultant and business owner. Ellie served as administrative aide to the Douglas County Board of Commissioners and was the founding director of the Omaha Convention and Visitors Bureau.

She currently serves on the board of directors of the Non-Profit Association of the Midlands and as chair of the GIRL Summit steering committee. She is a member of the public relations committee of Omaha by Design and the development committee of the Domestic Violence Coordinating Council. She also serves on the Metropolitan Community College Foundation Board of Directors and UNO's Campaign for Nebraska Steering Committee.
