Women's Fund to Award $45,000 in Grants Recognizing Excellence in Programming for Women and Girls
Proposals are being accepted for the Women's Fund of Greater Omaha's Excellence in Service to Women and Girls grants. A $25,000 grant will recognize excellence in programming for women, and a $20,000 grant will go to a girl-serving agency. The deadline is August 20, 2008.

WomanSpirit Award Recognizes Barbara Weitz's Leadership and Community Service
The Women's Fund of Greater Omaha has presented its prestigious WomanSpirit award to Barbara Weitz. The award recognizes a woman whose leadership has had a significant impact on the lives of women and girls in the Omaha area and establishes a perpetual annual grant in her name.

Women's Fund Grants Available For Programs Addressing Issues Impacting Women
Community agencies are invited to apply for Women's Fund of Greater Omaha grants for innovative programs focusing on leadership development, STD awareness and education, economic self-sufficiency and domestic violence. To be eligible for funding, the programs must benefit women ages 18 and older.
