What We Do
The Women's Fund is committed to improving the lives of women and girls in the Omaha area. We act as a vehicle to drive change through financial support of community organizations seeking funds for programming. Since our beginning, the Women's Fund has awarded more than $1,000,000 in grants to local agencies addressing the needs of women and girls in our community.
The Women's Fund also conducts research into issues affecting the lives of women and girls in Omaha including economic conditions, domestic violence and leadership. The findings are presented to the community in the hope that an existing agency or individual will be inspired by the research to augment an existing program or launch a new one that addresses the identified need.
Fundraising is critical to sustain continuing efforts to conduct research, present findings, and fund solutions. Today, the Women's Fund has grown to a more than nearly $5 million endowment devoted exclusively to the support of women and girls in the Greater Omaha area.
