The Women’s Fund of Omaha was honored to have Olympic Gold Medalist Aly Raisman as the featured speaker at our Lead the Change annual celebration!
A leader on and off the floor, Raisman uses her platform to promote positive body image and encourages everyone to be comfortable and confident in their own skin. In her New York Times best-selling memoir “Fierce,” she shares the highs and lows of her journey, including her survival of sexual abuse. Inspired by an army of survivors, Raisman continues her advocacy for systematic changes within the sport of gymnastics and efforts to help to eradicate sexual abuse from youth sports.
At the Lead the Change annual celebration, we recognized the local nonprofits that were awarded grants to support programs that make a positive impact on the lives of women and girls. The event attracted nearly 1,500 business and community leaders of all genders.
The annual celebration took place on Thursday, October 25 at 455 N 10th Street from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm.
