We’re excited to welcome Yasmine Alhejaj, our Marian Ivers Intern and an Omaha native currently studying gender studies and public health at the University of Nebraska Omaha. In this role, Yasmine supports the Women’s Fund’s youth-centered work focused on sexual and reproductive health education and access. They also bring experience as a member of our Youth Advisory Council, where she’s passionate about outreach and connecting with young people across the Metro. Outside of work and school, Yasmine enjoys spending time with her two cats, watching movies and growing her CD collection. Keep reading for more on our outstanding intern.

Going thrifting and watching early 2000s movies with my friends.

If you could instantly learn any new hobby, what would it be?
Crochet, so I could make my own clothes.
