Black Lives Still Matter

A 17 year old girl, caring for her young cousin, bravely recorded the murder of George Floyd nearly a year ago. Because of her, a guilty verdict was submitted today.

This is not justice. This is simply accountability in a long line of calls that have gone unanswered. And this verdict is not a substitute for policy and systems change. We must collectively keep going.

The Women’s Fund remains committed to dismantling white supremacy so that Black mothers can celebrate their children’s long lives. So that Black women can peacefully sleep in their own beds. So that all women and girls can reach their full and glorious potential.

Black lives still matter.
