New to Access Granted: Sexual Health Vending Machines

Our community will now have a new, low-barrier pathway to take control of their sexual and reproductive health—sexual health vending machines! Access Granted, an initiative of the Women’s Fund, is launching an innovative solution to ensure convenient access to sexual health and wellness needs. By introducing emergency contraception (EC) via vending machines at multiple locations, people will be able to access EC in a discreet, affordable and judgment-free way.

We understand that unexpected situations can arise, and having options is crucial. With sexual health vending machines strategically placed throughout the Omaha metro area, this project aims to ensure that everyone has a convenient way to obtain emergency contraception when they need it most. Gone are the days of navigating complicated processes or facing potential judgment. These vending machines offer EC for a low cost of just $8. This affordable price ensures that EC is within reach for those who may face financial barriers.

We are excited to share our first two vending machine locations: Nebraska AIDS Project (6220 Maple Street) with 24/7 access and Nite Owl (3902 Farnam Street) during business hours. More information is available via our website, GetAccessGranted.com, where we offer a wealth of knowledge, including information about emergency birth control, a map on where to locate machines and frequently asked questions—providing a seamless experience and eliminating any uncertainty. Individuals are encouraged to explore these resources to make informed decisions that are best for them.

Together, let’s create a community where everyone can exercise their right to accessible reproductive health care.
