There are several openings on state boards and commissions, and women and girls need your voice at the table! While this work may not be the flashiest of flashy, this is often a way to have a great impact on agencies, policies and programs that affect our community and those across the state. These are the openings for January through June 2020.
Do you have expertise in juvenile justice? The Nebraska Coalition for Juvenile Justice needs an “At Large” member in January. Are you an engineer? The Nebraska Board of Architects and Engineers needs you in February. The Women’s Health Initiative Advisory Council needs members in June. If nothing on this list inspires you, there are some additional outstanding open positions. Learn more about the work of the specific boards and commissions.
If you are inspired to be a part of one of these state boards/commissions, you have to apply to be appointed by the Governor. You can fill out an application for appointment online.
