As we watch extreme restrictions being placed on health care in other states, this email is urgent. LB 626, a six-week abortion ban, has been scheduled for second round debate on Thursday, April 27. Floor debate begins at 9:00 am with the vote expected around 1:30 pm. There’s still time to stop this near-total ban on abortion.
LB 626 is too extreme for Nebraska. It’s before most people know that they are pregnant, and it interferes with the doctor and patient relationship, putting a person’s total reproductive health care in jeopardy. Now is the time to make our voices heard in support of abortion access.
