In 2025, we reached a milestone of 35 years as an organization. We gathered founding members, inaugural supporters, and former staff and volunteers to honor our past and celebrate the present. Reflecting on our progress and planning for the future, we know the only way forward is together.
Here’s a few highlights from our 35th Anniversary year in 2025:
- Hosted several anniversary events and highlighted our more than three decades of impact in the community to honor our past, celebrate the present and build the future.
- Strengthened our investments in the community by funding 23 local organizations working to create communities that are free from gender-based violence and who are expanding access to sexual and reproductive health care; and also added to our sexual health vending machine project into Lincoln through a partnership with Lincoln-Lancaster County Public Health to help remove barriers to emergency contraception.
- Advocated for effective public policy solutions by providing testimony on 44 bills during the legislative session. Of the 32 bills we supported, eight bills became law. We also stopped any anti-abortion bills from progressing, delayed restrictions to the voter-approved minimum wage increases and was able to remove language from an anti-trans bill that would have restricted trans Nebraskans from bathrooms and other spaces.
- Other highlights included launching a new 501(c)4 entity, Lead the Change Fund; starting a Youth Advisory Council and hosting a Youth Summit; and another record year of Circles applications.
